"Missing book and no real help so far"
One of the books from my order never showed up, so I reached out to Routledge expecting it to be a simple fix. Instead, I’ve just been passed around and the replies have been really slow. It’s been weeks now and I still haven’t gotten a replacement or a refund. I’m wondering if other people have had the same issue, because this feels way harder than it should be. I paid for the book, so I really shouldn’t have to keep chasing them for it.
"I’m still waiting on the book…"
I’m still waiting on the book to arrive. Maybe I missed an update somewhere or I’m being a little impatient, but as far as I can tell, it still hasn’t shown up
"Edition mix-up was frustrating"
Not gonna lie, this was kind of a hassle. I ordered the textbook because the listing showed the newer edition, but the one that arrived didn’t match the details on the page. Customer service did respond, which I appreciated, but it took a while to sort out and the solution felt a little messy. It wasn’t a total disaster, just really annoying when you need the right edition for class.
"Preorder Experience Was Frustrating"
I preordered a book from routledge.com because I needed it for a class, but the whole process ended up being really frustrating 😕. There weren’t clear updates, the release/shipping date kept changing, and when I emailed about it, it felt like no one had actually looked into my order. I finally cancelled because I couldn’t keep waiting around. Preorders really shouldn’t be this confusing.

"Not sure why I ordered direct"
I ordered a book from routledge to be shipped overseas, i’m kind of wondering if I should’ve known better. The tracking barely updated, the delivery took way longer than I expected, and when I contacted customer service, the replies were vague. I know international shipping can be unpredictable, so maybe my expectations were off, but the whole thing just felt poorly handled. I don’t think I’d order directly from them again.

"Confusing Navigation"
I tried using the site/app and at first I thought I’d figure it out quickly, but this is where it got annoying: the navigation just wasn’t clear. I kept clicking around trying to find what I needed, and it felt way more confusing than it should have been

"Arrived beat up"
The box showed up crushed and the corners of the book were bent. There wasn’t any padding inside at all, which was really frustrating considering the price. It made me question the overall quality and care put into the packaging.

"Book showed up damaged"
The book arrived with clear damage, which was disappointing. I reached out to support thinking it would be an easy fix, but the whole thing just dragged on and nothing really got resolved. I kept waiting for some kind of solution, but... yeah, it never really happened

"Customer service never got back to me"
I reached out to Routledge customer service about a simple order issue, and it turned into way more hassle than it should have been.
I sent one message, waited several days, then followed up again, but still didn’t get anything helpful back. It felt like my basic request was just being ignored.
For a company this size, I expected at least a quick response or some kind of update. Instead I had to keep checking on it myself, and I don’t think I’d order directly from them again if support is this slow.

"Pretty frustrating ordering experience"
In my experience, this was really annoying. I ordered a book that was listed as in stock, only to get an email a few days later saying it wasn’t actually available. I don’t really understand why I was allowed to buy it in the first place if they couldn’t fulfill the order. Felt like a waste of time to me.
"Too Broad for What I Needed"
I really wanted the routledge material to work for my course, but it just didn’t line up that well with what I actually needed. A lot of it felt broad, so I found myself only paying attention to the sections that seemed directly relevant and skimming past the rest. In the end, I ended up relying on other sources most of the time because they were more focused and useful for my assignments.

"Tried to make a payment twice…"
Tried to make a payment twice today and both times it failed. It was frustrating, especially since it seemed like other people were getting through without any trouble. Not sure what went wrong, but I hope it gets fixed soon
"Shipping Was Too Expensive"
I was interested in buying, but the shipping cost felt way too high for me. I always double-check the total before placing an order, and once I saw the final price, I decided it just wasn’t worth it.

"Still got charged somehow"
I tried to cancel it, but I still ended up getting charged. Not really sure if something didn’t go through on their end or what, but it was annoying to deal with.

"Way too pricey for a required course book"
I needed a specific Routledge book for one of my courses, the price really caught me off guard. I knew academic textbooks are usually expensive, so I wasn’t expecting it to be cheap or anything, but this felt like a lot for something I only needed because it was assigned. What surprised me even more was that the ebook version was still more expensive than I expected. I guess I assumed the digital copy would be a noticeably cheaper option since there’s no printing or shipping involved, but it didn’t really feel that way. As a student, it’s frustrating because there are already so many costs piling up, and paying that much for one book is hard to justify. I ended up looking for a used copy instead because I just couldn’t bring myself to pay full price.

"Took a Few Days, But I Got It"
It took a few days to arrive, which had me side-eyeing the tracking updates like there was some secret warehouse operation going on behind the scenes. But in the end, it showed up and everything was fine. Not the fastest, but it got here.

"The prices on Routledge feel pretty…"
The prices on Routledge feel ridiculous. I just needed one book for my studies, and it ended up costing way more than I expected, even for the ebook version. The delivery and buying options weren’t anything special either, so for that kind of money I expected a smoother or better experience overall. It kind of feels like students are stuck paying because there isn’t really an easy alternative.

"A Bit Too Clunky for Me"
I tried reading online, but the experience felt clunky and kept getting on my nerves. I was expecting things to load and respond a lot faster, so it ended up being more frustrating than convenient

"I tried to return a book, the whole…"
I tried to return a book, the whole thing was more annoying than it needed to be. The instructions were not very clear, responses took forever, and I still had to keep chasing for updates. For such a big publisher, I really expected the return process to be much easier. I do not think I will order direct again.

"I was trying to find a…"
I was trying to find a few books on Routledge, but the search results felt all over the place and the filters didn’t really narrow things down much. I ended up finding one of the books through Google instead, which kind of defeats the purpose. The whole thing felt frustrating, and there was this no-real-person-there feeling, like you’re just stuck clicking around with no help.
